Roll the Dice

Different from previous trips to Big Sur and the surrounding areas, this was not a designated photography trip. However, I would have a few opportunities to make images while in the area. 

I had seen a location the day prior that showed promise if the conditions and light worked out. The forecast showed sunny skies for the following day. Given how windy it was the previous day and the predicted forecast, I didn't know what to expect the next morning. I decided to roll the dice and go out. If anything at all, it would be great to simply be outside in the quiet morning hours.    

To my surprise the wind died down a bit and there were some clouds passing through the area. The sky started to unfold in vibrant warm tones. It was quiet and perfect. Below are the three frames I made that morning.
