Camping with “Th3 Roadtrip”
Eric, Noel and I had talked about doing a local camping trip for some time. So on a warm summer weekend, we grabbed a campsite in our local mountains.
For this trip, there wasn’t any plan of taking photos. It was more just to catch up, cook, eat and hang out with the fellas. It was great catching up, especially with Eric. We haven’t seen him in a while as he’s been really busy with work and his new love, golf. We were glad to hear he’s been having a blast with it. Noel and I had updated Eric on our recent trip up to the Sequoias that he unfortunately missed out on. We also got an update on everyone’s upcoming plans. Noel was getting ready for some awesome trips later in the year. I’m hoping to buy his book of food and travel memoirs one day.
Noel was the chef this weekend. He made an awesome spread for dinner and breakfast. We were stuffed for sure.
Sunrise was really special as we got to enjoy it without any pressures of photography. It reminded me that I need to do that more often. As much as I enjoy making images, moments like that morning are unmatched. I spent a lot of time writing this weekend which was really therapeutic.
Although it was a short trip, It was great catching up with the crew. I was able to create some quick snapshots of the trip. Hope to see these guys again sooner than later.
